The Head and Neck

This is an early wax proto-type of a model that is
now used to teach minimally invasive surgical
approaches to the face. The underlying skull,
which I also developed for SYNBONE  is
made from polyurethane foam formulated to
simulate some of the mechanical properties of
natural bone. The skull can therefore be
pre-fractured before the overlying soft tissues and
skin are attached.
